Letter: Balancing respect and religious practices

As a Jewish woman who is proud of my culture, religious traditions and practices.

Hasidic communities are a branch of Judaism that choose to practice laws of our religion that are very strict.

A majority of Jewish people practice these laws to different degrees – Orthodox to secular and everything in between.

We of all religious persuasions tend to bend ancient laws to accommodate our modern needs.
